All companies that use portable electrical equipment are subject to the testing obligation and regulations of DIN VDE 0701-0702. These regulations are the basis for the repeat tests which the legislator is obliged to carry out.

This includes an authorised test for all electrical systems and equipment in your company. Our technicians check whether your devices and systems are working correctly; i.e. in conformance with the applicable VDE regulations. The inspection periods specified in Section 5 of BGV A3 vary depending on the use and the potential risks of the equipment being inspected. The main distinction is made between stationary and non-stationary electrical installations and between fixed and mobile equipment, such as mobile tools and machines on construction sites. The test procedure for electrical equipment is divided into the following areas: Inspection of installations, measurement, testing, functional testing, documentation, evaluation, determination of the test period and marking with a sticker. All tests are performed using regularly calibrated measuring instruments.

• Annual inspection or at intervals determined by a risk assessment (max. 4 years) by qualified electricians
• Testing according to DGUV V3 (formerly BGV A3, prior to that VBG 4), DIN VDE 0150-100, DIN VDE 0100-600, DIN EN 60204/VDE 0113, DIN VDE 0101
• Earthing resistance measurement in the tower base, on the nacelle support, in the hub (loop measurement)
• Testing of all electrical components and equipment, including in the hub
• Insulation measurement, loop impedance measurement, earth wire measurement
• Measurement of the residual current devices (RCD)
• Visual inspection of the lightning protection module
• Inspection of the electrical documentation and construction product labelling

All safety-relevant installations of the wind turbines must be inspected at specified intervals in accordance with the statutory requirements and the risk assessment.

Our safety engineering experts assess the following areas:

• Inspections in accordance with statutory requirements and manufacturers’ specifications: ladders, climbing protection and fall arrest systems, cranes, winches, access systems (lift) etc.
• Appointment of officially recognised experts for the testing of systems subject to inspection, such as access systems
• Inspection and overhaul of personal fall protection equipment (PPE)
• Testing of fire extinguishers and first aid equipment (first aid boxes, eye wash bottles)
• Inspection of health & safety markings and signage

In addition, we prepare risk assessments with an integrated location, alarm, escape and rescue plan.
